Motio Announces the Immediate Availability of MotioPI, Version 2.0

MotioPI includes a multitude of improvements, such as:

The User Access panel now catalogs group and role memberships beyond the default Cognos namespace. This provides a more complete spectrum of auditing with regard to user access. Version 2.0 also allows queries on multiple user credentials- for comparison purposes.

New MotioPI User Interface

The Orphaned Objects tab makes recovering content belonging to deleted users even easier than before by allowing Cognos administrators to zero in on orphaned content from a single namespace, rather than sifting through content of all deleted users within a namespace.

When utilizing the Validation panel, a broader selection of objects can now be batch validated. This includes report templates and report views along with the current objects like reports, analyses, and queries. A summary area to detail why an object fails during validation is available so you can more efficiently correct the source of the object error.

The Spec Viewer is a new component that lets you view/edit specifications directly within MotioPI. This helps eliminate steps when fixing broken reports, and allows you to copy/paste directly to the clipboard as opposed to opening up both Report Studio and a text editor, to copy and paste portions of the broken report.
